武汉中考英语熟词生义七

今天聊的几个词，每个意思很多，且在武汉中考，元调，四调中频繁出现，值得特别注意！

1.present

做名词讲：

礼物，He gave his mother a present

他给了他妈妈一个礼物

现在，目前，

We do not have any more information at the present time.

目前我们没有进一步的消息。

做动词讲：

出现，出席

The president wasn't present at the meeting.

总统没有出席这次会议。

提出，呈递

Can you present the report this week?

你能在这周内递交报告吗？

引申：presentation 演示

Her presentation was clear

她的演示很清晰。


2.pick up

A：捡起，拿起

pick up the magazine

捡起杂志

B：获得，学会

I picked up French when I lived in Paris

当我在巴黎生活时，我学会了法语

C：接某人，取某物

I will pick you up at school gate.

我来校门口接你


3.make up

A：编造

make up an excuse

编造一个借口

B：由…组成

women make up 56% of the student numbers

女生占到了学生人数的百分之五十六

C：化妆

make herself up for the party

为宴会精心打扮

D：和解

I want to make up

我希望能够和解


4.take off

A：脱掉

He took off his shoes

他脱掉鞋子

B：飞机起飞

The plane will take off at three

飞机三点起飞

C：忽然成功
