马上快到牛年春节了，也许你还记得在英语当中我们学过很多关于牛的单词，比如：Cow奶牛，Ox/Bull公牛，Buffalo水牛，Rhino犀牛。那么在英语当中，"牛年"应当用哪个英语单词表达呢？

答案是Ox，那么Year of the Ox 就表示牛年了。

如果你想问别人是什么生肖，应该怎么问呢？

例如：

A: 你是属什么的？

What is your Chinese zodiac/animal sign?

B: 我属牛。

① I was born in the Year of the Ox.

② I was born under the Year of the Ox.

③My Chinese zodiac/animal sign is ox.

那么“牛年快乐”用英语怎么说呢？

答案是：

Happy Chinese Lunar New Year of Ox!

其他生肖年份的英文说法也很简单，在“Year of the”后面，分别加上表示动物的单词（rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig）就可以了，如下所示：

2.Year of the Rat 鼠年

3.Year of the Ox 牛年

4.Year of the Tiger 虎年

5.Year of the Rabbit 兔年

6.Year of the Dragon 龙年
