肖华学习努力是为了在期末考试中取一个好成绩。

其实：so that也可以引导目的状语从句：
He hurriedto the station so that he could catch the early bus.=

so that也可以引导结果状语从句：
He hurriedto the station so that he caught the early bus.=
He got to the station so hurriedly that he caught the early bus.
他匆匆忙忙赶到车站，结果搭上了早班车。
特别注意考点：在“so +adv/adj+that 结果状语从句”中常常把so +adv/adj放在句首，并将谓语动词倒装来表示强底：
So hard did the boy study that he passed the exam.
这个男孩学习如此努力，以至于他通过了考试。
So clever is the boy that he can answer the question.
这个男孩很聪明，他能回答这个问题。

说明：little表示“小”时，用such……that; little表示“少”时，用so……that

so+many/few+n+that
so+much/little+不可数名词+ that
当such……that之间用“不定冠词+形容词+单数名词”时，可以用so……that结构替换，但是，此时so和形容词连用，接着是不定冠词和单数名词连用，再that结构：
That was such an important party that I had to take part in it.=
That was so important a party that I had to take part in it.
那是一个如此重要的会议，以至于我不得不参会。
