野兔与狐狸(Hare and fox)
有一次,兔要与鹰打仗,他去请狐狸助威。狐狸却说:“如果我们既不认识你们,又不知道你们要与谁打仗,我们怎么会去帮助你呢?”
寓意:有些人不顾自己的生命安全,硬要与比自己强大的对手去争斗。
Once, the rabbit was going to fight with the eagle. He went to ask the fox to cheer him on. But the fox said, "if we don't know you and who you are going to fight with, how can we help you?"
Moral: some people, regardless of their own life safety, insist on fighting with opponents stronger than themselves.
海鸥与鸢(Seagulls and kites)
一只海鸥吞吃了一条很大的鱼,胀破了他的肚子,躺在海滩上等死。一只鸢看见后说:“你真是自作孽啊!你本是空中飞的鸟,不该到海里去找食物。”
寓意:每个人都应该安分守己。
A seagull swallowed a big fish, burst his stomach and lay on the beach waiting to die. When a kite saw it, it said, "you are really doing evil! You are a bird flying in the air. You shouldn't go to the sea to find food."
Moral: everyone should keep himself in line.
