The Time Bank

There is a bank that credits your account each morning with £86,400. It carries over no balance（结余） from day to day.

有一个银行，每天早上在你的账户上存入86,400英镑。每天都没有结余。

Every evening deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.

每天晚上删除你一天中没有使用的余额。

What would you do? Draw out all of it, of course!

你会怎么做？当然是把它们都取出来！

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME.

我们每个人都有这样一家银行。它的名字是时间。

Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds.

每天早上，它会给你存入86,400秒的时间。

Every night it writes off（注销）, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.

每天晚上，它都把你没有投资到好用途上的时间当作损失注销。

It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft（透支）.

它没有结余。它不允许透支。

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day.

每天它都会为你开一个新账户。每天晚上它都会把一天的余额销毁。

If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.

如果你没有使用当天的储蓄，那就是你的损失。

There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow."

没有回头路。

You must live in the present on today's deposits.

你必须靠今天的存款而生活在当下。

Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.
